Jonathan Jones is an NFL senior reporter with The Athletic who focuses on behind-the-scenes stories, breaking news and capturing game moments with deeply reported articles and video analysis. A Shelby, N.C. native, Jonathan has covered the NFL since 2012 for the Charlotte Observer, Sports Illustrated and CBS Sports. He also served as a correspondent at HBO Real Sports.

Jonathan graduated from UNC in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
