
Bill Stratton

Bill Stratton most recently was the Global Head of Media, Entertainment, Advertising & Sports at
Snowflake. He joined Snowflake in 2018 to start the vertical and led its revenue growth from
$10M to $800M in 6 years. Unlocking fan data monetization & AI for media and sports
customers such as Disney/ESPN, Netflix, WBD, NBCU, WPP, NBA, MLS, Fanatics, FIFA and
more. Bill helped create several patents while at Snowflake around data collaboration for
monetization and advertising and set the strategy for advanced AI and agentic applications in
sports and media. The company had one of the most successful enterprise software IPOs in
2020.
Prior to Snowflake, Bill was Senior Vice President of Data & Analytics at Time Warner’s Turner
Broadcasting. Working across Turner Sports, CNN, HBO, Warner Bros Studio and other brands,
he led a team that created a global data & analytics platform to capitalize on the company’s fan
and consumer data for targeted advertising and marketing activation. Bill started his career at
Turner Sports in 1995 working in business development and distribution partnerships.
Currently an active investor and board advisor, Bill is an LP in several sports and media PE &
VC funds. As a board advisor, he advises companies on defining and executing on their data
and AI strategy to maximize revenue and improve marketing performance.
Originally from Baltimore, Bill is a graduate of the Gilman School and the University of North
Carolina - Chapel Hill and resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Claire (also a UNC graduate) and
