Andy Galdi is a Senior Director of Product at Teamworks, where he leads the
Basketball group in developing cutting-edge models to tackle some of the
most complex analytical challenges in professional, collegiate, and
international basketball.
Andy began his career as a Data Scientist at Google, working on YouTube
product enhancements. In 2015, he was hired by the Philadelphia Phillies to
launch their first-ever analytics department, growing it from zero to 35 staff
over six seasons. Under his leadership, the Phillies became widely recognized
as a leader in Data Science and Engineering across Major League Baseball.
Andy holds a master’s degree in Statistics from Stanford University and a
double major in Business Administration and Math Decision Sciences from
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He now resides in Chapel Hill,
NC, with his wife, Morgan, and their son, Archer James
